About Me
Hi there! I'm Emily and I work in theatrical, educational, and community-based mediums. I have a knack for globe-trotting, audiobooks, kiddos, and of course politically-charged, socially-conscious theatre. I recently graduated cum laude from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, a minor in Modern French Language, and distinction in theatre from the Honors College. Though originally from the United States, I am currently based out of Paris, France teaching primary school English classes!
current and recent projects

TAPIF assistant de langue
Currently, I am working as an english language assistant at a primary school outside of Paris, France. Most of my days consist of teaching english vocabulary and American culture to kids aged 6-12. I try to make english class fun for all of the kids by using fun, interactive games that also increase comprehension and dialogue.
ESL counselor for American Village camps
Over the summer, I worked as an English Language Counselor for these American themed english immersion camps all across France. I worked mostly with kids aged 10-13 in the south of France, the Alpes, and Paris. I taught english class for 2 hours each day as well as helped plan the afternoon activities and evening programs. My favorite part of camp was the plethora of silly skits (called "Congress") we did for the kids every day.

Playhouse Creatures
Last spring for my Honors Capstone Project, I self-produced and directed a production of Playhouse Creatures by April De Angelis. For more information, visit this page of my website.
